Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District / Nov 20, 2018
STATE OF MISSOURI, Respondent vs. DAWN R. LANGE, Appellant
Dawn R. Lange was convicted of possession of a controlled substance after a jury trial. On appeal, Lange argued that the trial court erred in denying her motion for judgment of acquittal, contending there was insufficient evidence to prove she possessed methamphetamine. The appellate court affirmed the conviction, finding that evidence of Lange's prior use of the drug pipe, her residence in the room where it was found, and her attempts to destroy other drug paraphernalia was sufficient for a reasonable juror to infer possession.
