STATE OF MISSOURI, Plaintiff-Respondent vs. ANTHONY MITCHELL COOPER, Defendant-Appellant
Anthony Mitchell Cooper was convicted of five sexual offenses against a child victim following a bench trial. On appeal, Cooper argued the trial court abused its discretion by excluding evidence of the victim's prior sexual conduct under the rape shield law and by admitting evidence of his prior violent acts. The Southern District of Missouri Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court's judgment, finding no abuse of discretion in either evidentiary ruling.
