Audrey Baker, et al. vs. Crossroads Academy-Central Street, et al.
Audrey Baker and other parents and children (the Bakers) appealed the dismissal of their petition challenging Missouri's vaccination and exemption regulations for school children. The Bakers alleged violations of constitutional provisions and federal and state laws, including free exercise of religion, equal protection, and the Missouri Religious Freedom Restoration Act. The appellate court affirmed the trial court's judgment, finding that the Bakers lacked standing against certain health departments, the regulations were rationally related to a legitimate state interest, and the statutory scheme did not violate constitutional rights or RFRA.
