STATE OF MISSOURI, Respondent vs. CALVIN L. TRENT, Appellant
Calvin L. Trent appealed his convictions for first-degree murder and armed criminal action following a jury trial. He argued the trial court erred by admitting his statements to law enforcement without Miranda warnings and by finding insufficient evidence of deliberation for first-degree murder. The Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District, affirmed the convictions, holding that Trent was not in custody during his interrogation and that the State presented sufficient evidence of deliberation.
