Christine Pitcher vs. Centene Corporation, et al
Christine Pitcher, a pharmacist, sued Centene Corporation and AcariaHealth Pharmacy, Inc. for common-law retaliatory discharge after she raised concerns about the legality of a virtual transfer of medication and was subsequently terminated. A jury found in Pitcher's favor, awarding compensatory and punitive damages, and the trial court later awarded front pay. On appeal, the Western District affirmed the judgment, finding the trial court had personal jurisdiction over Acaria, Centene was a joint employer, Pitcher presented a submissible claim, and no errors occurred in evidentiary rulings or the award of front pay.
