State of Missouri, Respondent, v. Christopher J. Whitbey, Appellant.
Christopher Whitbey appealed his convictions for fourteen counts of statutory sodomy. He argued the trial court erred by not sua sponte excluding expert testimony on the percentage of false child abuse allegations and by having a discrepancy between the oral and written judgments for one count. The appellate court declined to review the expert testimony issue, finding Whitbey invited the error. However, it remanded the case to correct the written judgment for Count Fourteen to reflect the orally pronounced life sentence, affirming the judgment in all other respects.
