Customer Engineering Services (CES) appealed a workers' compensation award to Mark Odom for permanent total disability (PTD) benefits and past and future medical expenses. The appellate court affirmed the PTD and future medical expense awards, finding CES's arguments procedurally deficient or deferring to the Commission's credibility determinations. However, the court reversed in part the award for past medical expenses, holding that CES was not liable for expenses incurred before it received notice of Odom's need for further treatment. The case was remanded for the Commission to reduce the past medical expenses award.
