Dan R. Lawrence Missouri Cases

Dan R. Lawrence appealed the denial of his Rule 29.15 motion for post-conviction relief, following his conviction for child molestation and sexual misconduct. Lawrence alleged various claims of ineffective assistance against both his trial and appellate counsel, as well as procedural errors by the motion court during the post-conviction proceedings. The appellate court affirmed the motion court's judgment, finding no clear error in its procedural rulings and concluding that Lawrence failed to demonstrate prejudice for any of his ineffective assistance claims, particularly given the overwhelming DNA evidence presented at trial.
