Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District / Jun 13, 2025
STATE OF MISSOURI, Respondent v DAVID JOHN AINSWORTH, Appellant
David John Ainsworth was convicted after a bench trial of driving without a valid license and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. On appeal, Ainsworth argued there was insufficient evidence to support his conviction for driving without a license because the State failed to prove he was driving on a public road. The appellate court affirmed the conviction, finding that the evidence and its reasonable inferences were sufficient to conclude Ainsworth had driven on a public road.
