Mila Homes, LLC vs. Donald H. Scott and Carolyn Scott
Donald and Carolyn Scott appealed a default judgment entered against John Doe and Jane Doe in an unlawful detainer action brought by MILA Homes, LLC. The Scotts had filed a motion to intervene in the trial court, which was not ruled upon. The appellate court dismissed the appeal, holding that the Scotts were not parties to the judgment and thus lacked standing to appeal, as the judgment was not entered against them and they were not aggrieved by it.
