Donzell Walker vs. Division of Employment Security
Donzell Walker appealed the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission's decision dismissing his claim for unemployment benefits due to his failure to participate in a hearing. The Commission found Walker did not demonstrate good cause for his absence. The appellate court dismissed Walker's appeal, holding that he failed to properly challenge the Commission's good cause ruling and did not comply with mandatory Rule 84.04 briefing requirements, thereby abandoning the issue on appeal.
