Appellant A.I. appealed the trial court's judgment granting Respondent E.H. a full order of protection based on stalking allegations. A.I. contended his procedural due process rights were violated because he was not afforded a meaningful opportunity to be heard at the hearing. The Eastern District of the Missouri Court of Appeals agreed, finding that A.I., appearing pro se, was not given the opportunity to present evidence or be questioned by the court regarding the allegations. The court reversed the judgment and remanded the case for further proceedings, instructing the trial court to first determine its authority to conduct a new hearing.
