Former Husband Elmer F. Keipp appealed a circuit court's judgment finding him in contempt for failing to pay a $20,000 judgment debt from a dissolution decree. He argued the trial court lacked jurisdiction because the underlying judgment had passed the statute of limitations. The appellate court dismissed the appeal, holding that an unenforced civil contempt order is interlocutory and not a final, appealable judgment, thus depriving the appellate court of jurisdiction.
