State of Missouri vs. Jason Michael Puckett
Jason Puckett was convicted of possession of methamphetamine following a jury trial. On appeal, Puckett argued there was insufficient evidence to prove he knowingly possessed the controlled substance. The Western District affirmed the conviction, finding that evidence of a bag of methamphetamine falling from Puckett's lap as he exited a vehicle was sufficient for a reasonable juror to infer knowing actual possession.
