J.D., a minor, appealed the trial court's judgment granting summary judgment in favor of the Hartville R-II School District and its officials on claims alleging violations of her First and Fourteenth Amendment rights. The appellate court dismissed the appeal. The dismissal was based on J.D.'s failure to comply with Rule 84.04, as her brief did not properly recount the uncontroverted material facts from the summary judgment record and contained argumentative statements, thereby impeding the court's impartial review.
