Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District / Aug 24, 2021
Jermaine Conner, Appellant, v. State of Missouri, Respondent.
Jermaine Conner appealed the motion court's denial of his Rule 24.035 motion for post-conviction relief without an evidentiary hearing. Conner had pled guilty to multiple felonies and filed a pro se motion that was one day late, and later filed a second, successive motion. The appellate court dismissed the appeal, concluding that both the motion court and the appellate court lacked authority to consider an untimely and successive post-conviction motion.
