Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District / May 18, 2021
William J. Penrod, Respondent, v. Karen D. Penrod, Appellant.
Karen D. Penrod appealed the trial court's judgment in her dissolution case, which found the antenuptial agreement she entered into with William J. Penrod to be valid and relied upon it for the division of marital assets. Wife argued the agreement was both procedurally and substantively unconscionable, and that the trial court erred in dividing assets based on it. The appellate court affirmed the trial court's judgment, concluding the agreement was not unconscionable and the asset division was proper.
