Keith Mason appealed the denial of his Rule 29.15 amended motion for post-conviction relief, following convictions for statutory sodomy and rape. Mason argued his trial counsel was ineffective for failing to impeach the victim with a prior inconsistent statement and for making him believe he did not have the right to testify. The Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District, affirmed the motion court's judgment, concluding that counsel's actions were reasonable trial strategy and that Mason was aware of his right to testify.
