Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District / Sep 19, 2023
STATE OF MISSOURI, Plaintiff-Respondent v. KIMBERLY RISTON, Defendant-Appellant
Kimberly Riston appealed her convictions for second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle, and armed criminal action. She contended the trial court abused its discretion by excluding a law enforcement witness's testimony regarding her intent and by not allowing a surveillance video of the crime to be shown during voir dire. The appellate court affirmed the trial court's judgment, finding no abuse of discretion in either ruling.
