Supreme Court of Missouri / Apr 16, 2019
Lance C. Shockley, Appellant, vs. State of Missouri, Respondent.
Lance Shockley was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to death, which was affirmed on direct appeal. He then filed a Rule 29.15 motion for post-conviction relief, alleging numerous claims of ineffective assistance of trial and appellate counsel, as well as juror misconduct and a Brady violation. The motion court denied relief after an evidentiary hearing. The Missouri Supreme Court affirmed the motion court's judgment, finding no clear error in its denial of Shockley's claims.
