STATE OF MISSOURI, Respondent vs. RANDALL LEE ABNEY, Appellant
Randall Abney was convicted of neglect of a child and second-degree murder for failing to provide adequate nutrition to his ten-year-old daughter, leading to her death. On appeal, Abney argued the trial court erred by admitting hearsay statements from a detective and a circuit manager, violating his confrontation rights, and by admitting evidence of prior bad acts. The Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District, affirmed the conviction, finding no error in the admission of the challenged testimony and no prejudice from the prior bad acts evidence.
