RICK DARBY, Plaintiff-Respondent vs. ANITA J. MASON, Defendant-Appellant

Respondent

Rick Darby sued Anita J. Mason for unpaid rent, possession of premises, and unlawful detainer. The trial court entered judgment for Darby after denying Mason's verbal motion for continuance. The appellate court reversed the judgment and remanded the case, holding that the trial court erred by denying Mason's mandatory request for a continuance as required by section 517.071.1 RSMo.
