STATE OF MISSOURI, Plaintiff-Respondent vs. ROBERT EUGENE GEIST, Defendant-Appellant
Robert Eugene Geist was on trial for drug and firearm offenses when he entered guilty pleas. On the day of sentencing, his counsel sought to withdraw, and Geist moved to withdraw his guilty pleas, both of which the trial court denied. On appeal, Geist argued the trial court erred in denying both requests. The Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District, affirmed the judgment, finding the first point unpreserved and the second point not clearly erroneous given Geist's prior sworn statements during the plea colloquy.
