Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District / Jun 25, 2024
Romell Sanders, Appellant, v. State of Missouri, Respondent.
Romell Sanders appealed the motion court's denial of his Rule 24.035 motion for post-conviction relief, alleging ineffective assistance of plea counsel who he claimed coerced him into an unknowing and involuntary guilty plea. The motion court denied the relief after an evidentiary hearing. The appellate court dismissed the appeal because Sanders failed to comply with Rule 81.12 by not filing the necessary plea and sentencing transcripts, which precluded meaningful review of the issues raised.
