Gary Veal sued Stacey Kelam for personal injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident, and a jury awarded Veal $2.5 million. Kelam appealed, arguing the trial court erred in denying her motion for new trial due to alleged bias during voir dire, that the verdict was excessive, and that her counsel was improperly restricted during closing arguments. The appellate court affirmed the trial court's judgment, finding no reversible error in any of Kelam's points on appeal.
