State of Missouri vs. Terrance Andre Johnson, Jr.
Terrance Andre Johnson, Jr. appealed his convictions for first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon (two counts), and armed criminal action, following a jury verdict. He argued the trial court erred in refusing a defense-of-others instruction and plainly erred in entering a written judgment for a higher felony class on one count than the jury found. The appellate court affirmed the convictions in all respects but remanded the case for a nunc pro tunc amendment to correct the clerical error in the written judgment regarding the felony class for one count of unlawful use of a weapon.
