State of Missouri vs. Terry Lee Lutes
Terry Lee Lutes was convicted of two counts of first-degree child molestation involving his granddaughter. On appeal, Lutes challenged the admission of his prior sex crime convictions, the trial court's refusal to allow a specific voir dire question about his prior convictions, and the admission of the child victim's out-of-court statements and prior testimony. The Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, affirmed the judgment, finding no abuse of discretion in any of the trial court's rulings.
