E.D.H. sought a full order of protection against T.J. under the Missouri Adult Abuse Act, alleging harassment and stalking based on social media posts. The trial court granted the order of protection. The Eastern District of the Missouri Court of Appeals reversed, finding insufficient evidence to support the order. The court held that T.J.'s conduct did not cause a reasonable person to fear physical harm for stalking, nor did E.D.H. demonstrate substantial emotional distress for harassment.
